Flight
SFO (San Francisco): 25 minute drive to The City. OAK (Oakland): 65 minute drive to The City SJC (San Jose): 75 minute drive to The City. East Coasters: United Airlines will have the most options for flight schedules and direct flights. Those of you in major east coast cities might try Alaska Airlines (R.I.P. Virgin America).
Travel Note
Rely on Uber/Lyft and the MUNI buses and trains. Avoid taxis. Rental cars are not recommended as parking is hopeless. The city is very walk-able, so bring comfy shoes.
Hotel
This is a very nice B&B, and it's a short walk to our home. There are only 20 rooms, so please book quickly if this is an attractive option for you. The management doesn't accommodate wedding groups, so I suggest that you keep the wedding a secret.
Hotel
This is our top pick, a centrally located boutique operated by Joie de Vive. It's only a few blocks from the wedding, and it is the same location for the after party. If 10 guests indicate they would like to stay here, we will orchestrate a group discount, so let us know.
Hotel
A relatively affordable option downtown in the Financial District. Centrally located for the Embarcadero, the Ferry Building, shopping, and museums. Also, very close to the underground MUNI lines.
House Or Rental
We live in Dolores Heights just south of Dolores Park and we'd love it if you stay close to us! We're pretty much at the nexus of the following 3 neighborhoods: The Mission: Lively, gritty, hipsters, murals. Noe Valley: Bourgeois, charming, clean, lots of strollers. The Castro: gay gay gay. If you'd like to stay near the wedding site, the church is between Presidio Heights and Pacific Heights at the southeast corner of the Presidio. Do NOT stay in the Tenderloin, it's sketchy AF.
