Collin and I always knew of each other going all the way back to elementary school. We attended the same schools all through high school. Starting junior year of high school, I started noticing Collin more in my classes. We started becoming friends our senior year of high school and I just remember how easy it was to talk to him. Everyone told me how shy he was, but I sometimes couldn't get a word in! We instantly became best friends, and I would be waiting for him after class, so I could just be with him.
Collin and I were doing calculus homework with some of our friends one night at Panera and I admitted to my friends before he got there that I thought I liked him. My friend said, "well of course you do! He likes you too it's super obvious!" But, as any seventeen-year-old, I was nervous to tell him. So, after a night of not doing our calculus homework and talking I decided to tell Collin that I liked him. We were walking to his car, and my heart was racing, and he looks at me and says, "are you asking me out on a date?" My whole body went into shock. I told him I think I liked him, and he said he think he liked me too (thanks for making me do the first move). So, he asked me on a first date to go ice skating and the rest is history.
