The Wedding Website of Matthew Whitaker and Sarah Goldberg
Check out some of our favorite places in the Palm Springs area! We have added some fun "touristy" and family friendly things to do and also a long list of Matt's favorite eateries in the area.
Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree, CA 92252

Be sure to listen to U2 while you're here.

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

1 Tramway Road, Palm Springs, CA 92262

If you only do one tourist-y thing in Palm Springs, make it this.

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens

47900 Portola Avenue, Palm Desert, CA 92260

Although we haven't been to The Living Desert Zoo (because we have always gone in the blazing hot months of summer), it has always been on our list of things to eventually do. The Living Desert Zoo is open 8am-5pm

Moorten Botanical Garden

Moorten Botanical Garden

1701 S Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92264

Open 10am-4pm, Moorten Botanical Garden is a living museum of desert lore and has something of interest for everyone with glistening crystals, colorful rocks, ancient fossils, and pioneer and gold mining relics.

Pioneertown

Pioneertown

Pioneertown, CA

Old west themed town that was the filming site of many western films, and home to a great Restaurant, Pappy + Harriet's, which we visited during our first trip to the area.

Coachella Valley Firebirds Hockey

Coachella Valley Firebirds Hockey

75702 Varner Road, Palm Desert, CA 92276

We love hockey and the Firebirds are the newest attraction to the Coachella Valley. We were able to check out a game on one of our visits and had a blast.

Palm Springs Vinyl Records and Collectibles

Palm Springs Vinyl Records and Collectibles

220 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262

If you're into vinyl or movies, this is a must visit.

Boomers Palm Springs

Boomers Palm Springs

67-700 East Palm Canyon Drive, Cathedral City, CA 92234

Family Fun Option! Boomers Palm Springs features acres of family fun and excitement, making it the best family fun center in the Palm Springs area. Featuring Go Karts, three 18-hole miniature golf courses, bumper boats, a rock wall, and an arcade with over 100 state-of-the-art video games. Boomers offers BIG fun for everyone in the family!

Cabazon Dinosaurs - World's Biggest Dinosaurs

Cabazon Dinosaurs - World's Biggest Dinosaurs

50770 Seminole Drive, Cabazon, CA 92230

The Cabazon Dinosaurs have long been regarded as one of the most iconic roadside attractions. Featured in cult classics such as Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure and The Wizard, the dinosaurs have staked their place in pop culture.

Koffi South Palm Springs

Koffi South Palm Springs

1700 South Camino Real, Palm Springs, CA 92264

Our favorite coffee in Palm Springs. They have several locations but this one is directly across the street from the Ace Hotel & Swim Club.

Las Palmas Brewing

Las Palmas Brewing

461 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262

This is always our first stop on our visits to Palm Springs. Home of Sarah's favorite seltzer; Tears.

La Quinta Brewing Co - Palm Springs Taproom

La Quinta Brewing Co - Palm Springs Taproom

301 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262

Another good brewery option. Although it doesn't serve food, you can bring in outside food to soak up some of the alcohol you have consumed.

Copley's on Palm Canyon

Copley's on Palm Canyon

621 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262

The first place we ever ate in Palm Springs. Matt had some cornbread he hasn't stopped thinking about since.

King's Highway

King's Highway

701 East Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92264

Located on the Ace Hotel & Swim Club property, King's Highway is a delicious diner option. As a side note, the name "King's Highway" is near and dear to Sarah's heart as there is a funny Grandma Goldberg moment where she once pronounced a street in St. Louis "King Shigway" which caused the young Goldberg clan to miss their exit.

El Patron

El Patron

101 South Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262

Matt's favorite tacos in Palm Springs.

The Heyday

The Heyday

1550 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262

We found The Heyday by accident. Our first trip to PS we got massages at The Hilton and needed to kill time. We saw a little restaurant inside the hotel so went in to get some food... The rest is history! They've since moved to a stand-alone location, but be sure to try Matt's favorite burger in Palm Springs.

Johnny Costa's Ristorante

Johnny Costa's Ristorante

440 South Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262

Matt's favorite Italian food in Palm Springs.

Azúcar Restaurant and Bar

Azúcar Restaurant and Bar

Another Mexican inspired eatery option in the Palm Springs area.
