Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code will be cocktail attire. Suits, ties, dresses... Dress to impress! *If you're wearing heels, keep in mind that the ceremony will be outdoors on grass. **Feel free to bring a layer if you'd like to enjoy the beautiful outdoor space in the evening. ***If you plan on ripping up the dance floor (as we are), feel free to bring a change of shoes!

What is the bar situation?

Answer

The reception will be a fully open bar event. However, the on-site after-party will be a cash bar, so if you plan to continue drinking afterward, please bring a form of payment.

Can I bring my kids?

No, this will be an adult-only event.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Please do not. We will give guests some time at the beginning of the ceremony to snap a few pictures, but afterward, we ask you to please keep your phones away. Unplug and enjoy!

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

If you're staying at the Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn, Watson, or Cottage we have buses/vans that will pick you up at designated times to get you to the Lord Thompson Manor before the ceremony. The pickup times are as follows: Comfort Inn: 4:30 & 5:00 Holiday Inn: 4:30 Watson Inn: 4:45 Cottage House: 5:00 Our transportation vendor will be on call, so whenever you're ready to head home (whether it's 10 PM or 2 AM), you'll be able to get back to your accommodations. If you'd rather drive, you can drive to the venue. There will be a valet service to park your car for you, so you can simply pull up to the entrance. You can also drive if you miss the shuttle to the venue and leave your car at the venue overnight (but will be responsible for getting back to the venue for the Sunday brunch). If you're not staying at one of our suggested accommodations, you will be in charge of your own transportation.
