FAQs

The Wedding Website of Matthew Doss and Lee Watson
Question

What is Satanic about this wedding?

Answer

The ceremony for this wedding will center non-theistic Satanic values, such as empathy, rational thought, and freedom from oppression. It may mention mythical figures important to modern Satanism such as Lucifer, Baphomet, etc. No audience participation is required, and there will be no blood (real or fake), nudity, or soul-selling. The reception will be secular, and if you choose to only attend the reception for spiritual reasons, both grooms understand and will be glad to have you.

Question

Where is the RSVP page?

Answer

Unfortunately the deadline to RSVP for our wedding has passed. If you are still interested in attending and have not RSVPed yet, please reach out to one of us.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you're sure of your plans, and by September 25th at the latest.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We encourage everyone to wear their favorite fancy clothes that they don't normally get a chance to wear. This includes bridal gowns, eccentric ren faire outfits, or that one nice outfit that you love but feel overdressed in. Have fun with it! When choosing footwear, please do be aware that the garden itself is unpaved. A tram service will be available, but we encourage those who can to walk the path and enjoy the beautiful botanic garden.

Question

I have a food allergy/restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please do so as soon as possible, through the RSVP page, to allow time for the caterer to make adjustments. No adjustments will be possible after October 4th.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes. If you feel your child will enjoy the event, we would love to have them. Please be advised that the garden does not allow straying from the path, and alcohol will be served at the reception. If you feel these or any other parts of the event would create an unpleasant parenting experience for you, we will happily celebrate with you at another time and place.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive by 4 PM to ensure you have enough time to get from the front gate to the ceremony location before it starts, at 4:30 PM.

Question

I still have an unanswered question!

Answer

If you don't see your question covered here, please feel free to reach out to Matt or Lee.
