Located in downtown Columbia, the South Carolina State House is the seat of state government. Visitors are welcome to take free guided and self-guided tours of the South Carolina State House. While the legislature is in session (January - May), tours are offered every half hour beginning at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m. Tours are not offered at noon or 12:30 p.m. during these months.

EdVenture Children's Museum

EdVenture is the largest children's museum in the Southeast United States, located in Columbia, South Carolina. For admission and safety purposes, EdVenture considers individuals aged 16 and older an adult. All visiting adults must be accompanied by a child (under 16) to enter. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. FREE parking is available in the surface lot shared with the South Carolina State Museum and in the Columbia Mills Parking Deck. Handicapped parking is near main entrance.
