Becca
Maid of Honor
Becca is Brooke's quarter sister. In their youth they spent lots of time skiing in Park City, Utah. When Brooke was age 6 and Becca age 5 they both had matching Poodles as pets. Becca and Brooke family share almost all their yearly holidays together including Christmases in Park City, a Thanksgiving in Amsterdam and countless BBQ's at Brookes parents place on Shetland Lane in Los Angeles. Becca is currently a resident veterinarian in Pittsburgh, PA. She has obviously not given up her love for animals and Poodles.
Justin
Best Man
Justin is an older cousin, almost like an older brother to Nathan. Justin first met Nathan the day he came home from New Zealand in October of 1989. They have been best buds ever sense. Justin and Nathan grew up together in San Jose. As Justin being 6 years senior to Nathan he would always show him the ropes on everything from fishing, the latest wrestling moves, to skateboarding and BMX. Life would make it so they were never more than a quick phone call or few hours drive away. When Nathan decided to pack up and move to Hollywood in the summer of 2011. Justin made it a point to stay in touch and visit from time to time. Justin is now happily engaged to his fiance Amanda with their wedding to follow sometime in 2022!
Lauren
Bridesmaid
Lauren and Brooke have been friends since they met in Mommy & Me. They grew spening time at the Jonathan Beach Club, going to Father/Daughter dances, and eating Reddi Chick together. After Lauren moved away to Austin, Brooke credits their mom's for keeping in touch and making sure that Lauren and Brooke had the chance to reconnect every summer. Marla says it was because she could tell how much fun Lauren and Brooke had together everytime they saw each other (and the fact she also really likes Gail, Lauren's mom). Lauren and Brooke travelled after graduating college to Europe for 7+ weeks to over 8 different countries for an unforgettable experience. Brooke was the maid of honor is Lauren's wedding to Oliver and a proud Auntie to Lauren's daughter Elizabeth and baby girl #2 coming in March!
Oscar
Groomsman
When Nathan moved to Hollywood in 2011 he had a tough time getting is feet under him. He met Oscar in May of 2012 and they have been trudging buddies sense. There probably hasn't been too many moments in the past 10 years that Oscar and Nathan haven't been in the same room together. Even with regular disagreements over California sports teams they have looked past that and tried to push each other to grow a host of friends. Oscar and Nathan could be found on most days traveling to a new state, out and about around Hollywood or joking about how they will be leaving in 30 minutes for a last minute trip to Las Vegas. Oscar still lives in Hollywood pursing his degree and has no plans on giving up his love for Los Angeles sports even though championships are few and far between.
Hillary
Bridesmaid
Hillary and Brooke met on the Sunset bus in 7th grade at Harvard-Westlake. Their favorite tradition was getting Reddi Chick after golf competitions after Hillary convinced Brooke to join the golf team with her in 9th grade. They share many interests including (but not limited to) shrimp & garlic butter, Mt Tam cheese, dim sum, mani/pedis, spending time with Hillary's 3 daughters, and trips to SB to eat as much crab as possible. Brooke was a bridesmaid in Hillary's wedding to Peter and Hillary now lives around the corner from Brooke's parent's house where she grew up (even though they just recently sold it).
Doug L.
Groomsman
Doug was Nathans friend and neighbor when they both lived on Sycamore Ave in Hollywood. Doug later moved back to Boston and met his wife Laura. When Doug married Laura in the late summer of 2018 Nathan was a Groomsman at their wedding. Their wedding was only a few weeks after Nathan and Brooke just met. Doug is now happily married and a father of two young girls and a teacher in South Boston.
Hiromi
Bridesmaid
Hiromi and Brooke met for the first time up in Mammoth when Hiromi joined the UC San Diego ski and snowboard team and they became instant friende, living together for a year in college. Some of their favorite experiences include many weekends driving up to Mammoth, an epic week skiing in the French alps, running 2 half marathons together, and hiking Mt. Whitney. When Nathan proposed, Hiromi and Brendan were eagerly waiting for the call to come to bring Champagne and sparkling cider to toast with the newly engaged couple (she even ran a stop sign on her way since she was so excited). Brooke recently was a bridesmaid at Hiromi's wedding to Brendan for an incredible celebration in the Hamptons.
Travis
Groomsman
Nathan met Travis on his first day and first period of high school. They will both agree it has been a wild ride sense then. In high school they had a lot of the same classes and both found a passion for film as high school was nearing its close. In their 18 year friendship Nathan has gotten Travis in far too many pickles than he is willing to admit. Travis would always take it in stride and pick up and dust Nathan off when he went a little to far. You will find both of them together working on a car, film project or plans on how to make the next buck and strike it rich. Travis can be found now days looking for his next film project or restoring his 1966 Ford Mustang he had sense junior year of high school.
Margot
Bridesmaid
Margot and Brooke went to UCLA Anderson business school together and were co-presidents of the Wine Club there. They even competed in a wine tasting competition and traveled to NY and Bordeaux together for some unique and memorable experiences. Brooke and Margot can be found frequently drinking wine in the sunshine on the weekends, hiking with Margot's dog Gazpacho, watching Top Chef, or cooking dinner for friends. Brooke is also close to Margot's whole family after they joined the fun in Bordeaux and invited her out to Martha's Vineyard!
John
Groomsman
Nathan also met John on the first day and first period of high school. John would do his best to avoid the pickles Nathan would try to put him in. Thou he would never miss a beat when Nathan needed him. Even after 18 years of being friends John would say "The jury is still out on Nate." But the moments of crying, laughter and joy can't replicated. John is a family man through and through. And he holds his friends almost just as close. Nathan, Travis and John spent hours hanging out at Johns families house during their young adult lives. Many hours playing Rock Band and even more hours pondering the hurdles and risks of life. John bought his first home this year in Fresno, CA where he lives with is wife Denise who he has been married to sense September of 2018.
Deborah
Bridesmaid
Deb went to UCLA Anderson business school with Brooke and they shared an instant friendship from the time they first met in New York at a conference before school started. Deb forced Brooke to dress up for Halloween every year, was an incredible supporter through job hunting and mock interviews, and the best Spring Break companion - they enjoyed some incredible trips to Japan and Belize together. Brooke was an officiant at Deb's wedding to Nate and they just welcomed their son, Warren!
Dayna
Bridesmaid
Dayna has been friends with Nathan for over 6 years and as soon as Brooke met her, they instantly had their own connection and friendship. Dayna and her boyfriend Chris joined Nathan and Brooke on an epic adventure through Yellowstone (although Dayna and Chris were napping in the car by the end of the day as Brooke and Nathan overdid the sightseeing, per usual). Whether we are playing games, making fun of Dayna (or Nathan), or running around a national park, Dayna always brings such a positive energy to every experience and her appreciation for life if infectious! (Science, man!)
