Best man for Matthias
Having my older brother Marshall stand by my side as my best man means more to me than I can really put into words. Growing up, we had our fair share of sibling rivalry—plenty of arguments over who got the last slice of pizza or who was faster, stronger, or smarter. But behind all that playful competition, there was always something stronger: a bond that never broke. There was the day he taught me how to drive stick shift. It was one of those hot summer afternoons where everything felt a little more alive. We stalled probably ten times in the first five minutes, but he never lost patience—not once. He just laughed, gave me pointers, and said, “You'll get it, little bro. Just feel the engine.” Eventually, I did. And I think it meant more to both of us than just learning to drive—it was one of those moments where I really felt his belief in me. Marshall has always been there for me. Through every high and low, he’s been the constant I could count on. With him standing beside me, I’m reminded again of the kind of brother—and friend—he’s always been. What started as sibling rivalry has grown into a deep, unshakable love. And I’m proud to have him not only as my best man but as one of the best parts of my life.

It’s only fitting that the Best Man is someone who’s been by my side since day one—literally. From childhood mischief to grown-up milestones, the bond between these us has only grown stronger with time. Matthew is my twin brother, and while we might share a birthday, that’s about where the similarities end. He’s the yin to my yang, the grease-stained hands to my keyboard fingers. I fix his electronics; he helps me with everything from vehicles to heavy lifting—it’s a system that’s worked flawlessly for decades (with only the occasional brotherly arguments). He is known for his hands-on talent with cars and anything mechanical, Matthew is the kind of guy who can build it, fix it, or figure it out. Especially after I accidently burned the engine up in his Firebird during our High School years. Matthew’s loyalty, quick wit, and one-of-a-kind sense of humor make him the perfect Best Man. He’s the guy you call at 2 a.m.—and the guy who answers without hesitation. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him. He has been with me my whole life growing up, and I couldn’t imagine standing without him right there beside me as I marry the love of my life.
Maid of Honor for Matthias
I grew up in Wichita with my sister Marissa, and many of my favorite childhood memories were made with her by my side. We were always close—even though we weren’t immune to a bit of sibling rivalry. She was always there, looking out for me—and, most of the time, I did my best to do the same for her. When our family moved to Cheney, everything around us changed—and in some ways, so did our connection. We began to branch out, pursuing our own paths, but that foundation we built as kids remained. No matter how much life shifted, we always found our way back to each other. Marissa has grown into an incredible woman—strong, loyal, and someone I know I can always count on. Having her stand beside me as my groomswoman means more than I can fully express. She’s not just my sister—she’s one of the most important people in my life. Her presence today is a powerful reminder of the journey we've shared, and the unwavering bond that will carry us through whatever comes next.

Ashley and I first met over seven years ago while working at the Hyatt, and what began as a professional connection quickly turned into a meaningful friendship. Over the years, we’ve grown close, and she’s become one of the most dependable and supportive people in my life. Ashley has an incredible ability to listen, offer thoughtful advice, and lift my spirits no matter what kind of day I’m having. Whether it's sharing a laugh during a tough week or offering a steady presence during big life moments, she’s always been there for me—without hesitation. We joke that she is my personal therapist. Ashley keeps my head on straight especially when I am having a bad day and going off the deep end, she reels me back in. Having Ashley stand by my side as a Groomswoman means the world to me. She’s more than just a friend—she’s family. Seeing me through my up and downs. I’m honored to have her be part of this unforgettable day.
Mother of Matthias
If there’s one person who has always been the heart of our family, it’s my mom, Michelle. She’s not just my mother—she’s the center of everything that holds us together. Through every stage of life, she’s been our rock, our guide, and without a doubt, our peacekeeper. Growing up, no matter how chaotic things got—whether it was Marshall and me going at it over something ridiculous or just the usual mess of a busy family—Mom had this calm, grounded way of bringing everyone back together. She could dissolve tension with just a look, a hug, or a well-timed reminder of what really matters. She showed up for every vocal music concert, sometimes with tears in her eyes, cheering louder than anyone. She was there for every shopping trip, making even the simplest errands feel like time well spent. And in between all of that, she taught me—by example—how to be a better human. She showed me how to treat people with kindness and dignity, how to listen, how to love without conditions, and how to carry myself with grace. She’s the one who taught us the value of compassion, the strength in patience, and the power of showing up for the people you love. Even in the busiest times, she created peace and made our home a place that always felt safe and full of love. As I take this big step in life, I carry so much of what she’s given me. Her wisdom and warmth are a part of everything I do.

There are not enough words to fully capture how much my mom, Linda, means to me. Her strength, resilience, and love have shaped the person I am today in ways that I could never fully express. Life wasn’t always easy for her, but she never let it break her. She’s the heart of our family, as a proud mom to twins—me and my brother Matthew—she somehow managed to raise two strong, independent kids while setting the ultimate example of strength and self-reliance. Growing up, I watched her work tirelessly—often working long night shifts and taking care of my grandparents on her weekends. Even with such a heavy workload, she never missed a school event, sporting event, a chance to visit us in grade school and have lunch with us or any other important moment in our lives. Her commitment to us never wavered, no matter how exhausted or overwhelmed she must have been. She’s been my anchor through every chapter of life, the first person I turn to for advice, comfort, and a good laugh. From teaching me how to cook a meal from scratch to showing me how to swing a hammer and remodel a house. She has always been the type of person to take things into her own hands and do it herself. Her love, guidance, and unwavering support have been the foundation of my life. Having her stand with me on my wedding day is one of the greatest gifts I could ask for. I am endlessly grateful for everything she has done for our family. She is, and always will be, my hero.
Father of Matthias
When I think of strength, sacrifice, and steady guidance, I think of my dad. He’s never been one to speak loudly about his love, but his actions have always said it all. Through every phase of my life, he’s been a constant—quietly supporting me, teaching me, shaping who I am. One of the most important parts of our journey was through Scouts. Reaching Eagle Scout wasn’t easy, but Dad was always there—at campouts, during merit badge projects, and especially during the tough moments when I wanted to give up. He didn’t just help me through it—he lived those values and showed me what it meant to lead with integrity and serve others. He also taught me to fish. I still remember early mornings by the water, the stillness, the quiet conversations. Teaching me about learning patience, appreciating silence, and simply being together. As I’ve gotten older, our relationship has grown in new ways. We've spent hours talking about life, values, and politics. We didn’t always agree, but those conversations helped me grow. He taught me how to listen, to think critically, and to have respect for different views. More than anything, he taught me how to stand by what I believe with both conviction and humility.
