Before you travel, make sure your phone plan allows for international calls in case you need to reach anyone while you're there. Once you land in Puerto Vallarta, there are two main transportation options to get to your accommodations: Uber – You can schedule an Uber in advance. The cost typically ranges from $20 to $70 USD, depending on the time of day. Taxi – After clearing customs, we recommend exchanging U.S. dollars for pesos if you plan to take a taxi—it’ll make the process smoother. Expect a similar fare of $20 to $70 USD. The commute time from the airport to the Mismaloya Beach area is about an hour.
