Our story began in the summer of 2018, when two high school sophomores started connecting at church. What began as simple conversations slowly grew into something more, and one night - after dancing in the basement of Matthew’s parents’ house - Matthew asked Taylor to be his girlfriend. From the very beginning, their relationship was rooted in friendship, faith, and a shared sense of purpose. As the years passed, they learned that love is built through commitment, patience, and choosing each other daily. During their first year of college, they navigated a season of semi–long distance, learning how to communicate, support one another, and grow individually while staying united as a team. Through every change, God remained the foundation that guided their relationship. Building a life together brought new lessons and joys. Moving into their first apartment taught them what it truly meant to create a home - balancing busy schedules, celebrating small victories, and welcoming their puppy, Cole, added even more joy (and a little chaos) and reminded them not to take life too seriously. Each step strengthened their partnership and deepened their appreciation for the life they were building side by side. Seven years after it all began, one of their earliest dreams became reality. While traveling through Europe, Matthew proposed in Paris, in front of the Eiffel Tower - a place they once dreamed about as teenagers. In that moment, surrounded by memories of where they started and how much they had grown together, Taylor said yes to a lifetime of choosing one another. This year, they took another meaningful step forward by purchasing their first home - a reflection of the trust, teamwork, and faith that have shaped their journey. As they prepare for marriage, they are grateful for a love grounded in God, strengthened through every season, and built on a foundation of commitment and grace. They can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with their family and friends in Buford, Georgia.
