Our Love Story – Shanell & Alex Some love stories begin with a spark — ours started with crayons and story time. We met as tiny kids in the same kindergarten class, sharing juice boxes and picture books long before we knew what love even meant. Years later, in high school, we reconnected — a little older, a little wiser (maybe), and the sparks flew in a whole new way. We dated, we dreamed, and we grew up together. But like many young love stories, ours took a detour. Life led us in different directions, giving us time to grow individually and discover who we were. And then, like something out of a movie, our paths crossed again — older, stronger, and with the kind of clarity that only time and distance can give. We picked up right where we left off, only this time with a deeper understanding of ourselves and of each other. Alex proposed in Aruba, on a quiet, meaningful day — the anniversary of Shanell’s father’s passing. A day that once held pain became a moment filled with love, healing, and hope. It was more than just a proposal — it was a reminder that love can bloom even in the shadow of loss, and that some hearts are destined to find each other again. What we cherish most is that we’re not just partners — we’re best friends. The kind of best friends who can laugh until we cry, finish each other's sentences, and face anything the world throws at us, hand in hand. This is our story — full of twists, full of heart, and proof that sometimes, love comes full circle.
