This is our beginning

On February 26th, 2022, Matt’s dad (Tom) walked into my Grandma Joyce’s barber shop to get his haircut. After my grandma noticed Tom’s sweatshirt which said Federal on it, she then asked him how he got it. When tom responded that his son Matt works there my grandma proceeded to say so does my granddaughter Harley. After the two of them discovered that both of us were single they decided it would be a good idea to get us both in touch. Soon after they talked about us at the barbershop I got a text from my grandma with Matt’s name and all of his work information along with a picture of him. I thought to myself this guy is pretty cute! Tom proceeded to tell Matt about me, and he also looked me up. At the end of everything we want to thank my grandma Joyce and Tom for setting us up!

On March 1st, 2022, I was just sitting at home bored so I thought that I would reach out to Matt and see if he wanted to meet up. At first Matt thought that I was kidding but I wasn’t once I told him to meet me at the Dugout he knew I was serious about wanting to meet. Obviously, the meeting went well, and we enjoyed each other’s company hence the reason why we are planning a wedding.

Thanksgiving of 2022 will always be a special day to us since that is when Matt popped the big question! After a nice meal Matt had everyone come together in the sitting room while we were getting dessert ready. Once he got everyone in there he had everyone go around and say what they were thankful for. Once it got to Matt I knew something weird was up when he kept rambling on and if you know Matt he can ramble on a lot! Finally, he got down on one knee and asked me to “marry him”. Obviously, I said yes!
