Wedding Party

We’re endlessly grateful to be surrounded by the most incredible family and friends—people who have loved us, lifted us, and laughed with us through every chapter of our lives. They’ve been there for the big milestones, the quiet moments, the late-night heart-to-hearts, and the spontaneous memories we’ll never forget. From childhood best friends to lifelong siblings, old souls to chosen family, each of these amazing humans holds a special place in our hearts. Their love and support have shaped who we are and brought us to this beautiful moment. We couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without them by our side. Scroll down to meet the ones who’ve been with us through it all—our favorite people and the true stars of this celebration.

Mila LaCerba

Maid of Honor

Faith LaCerba

Maid of Honor

I’m outgoing, nap loving, and currently studying medical imaging. When I’m not studying, I’m probably rewatching shows I’ve already seen multiple times. Being cousins with Makila means there is never a dull moment. When we are together there’s almost always a “remember that time…” story, and endless laughs. From childhood to adulthood chaos, we’ve always been quite the dangerous duo and have been called trouble more times that I can count, but that’s what makes our bond special. I am beyond honored to be her Co-Maid of Honor on her big day!

Bridesmaid

I am the grooms cousin. I have so many amazing childhood memories with Matt visiting Chicago. I live far away in south Florida but any time I’m with Makila and Matt it’s like no time has passed. Makila and I met when The Austin’s came down to Florida for Christmas in 2020. Makila and I were instant friends and I knew we’d be officially family one day from the start. I am very type A, but also outgoing and love to have a good time. Makila is someone I know I can count on to have a good time with. Makila was recently one of my bridesmaids and truly has been one of the best additions to our family and to my life. I am honored to be a part of this special time in their life!

Alyssa Scornavacco

Bridesmaid

Makila and I have been through so much together—from Paddock days to Girl Scouts to freshman year soccer. We've grown up side by side, sharing everything from sushi dates with Jacky to endless conversations about life, love, and everything in between. But what stands out most to me is watching her story with Matt unfold. I’ve seen it grow from little moments into something so real and lasting. It’s the kind of love we used to dream about when we were younger, and now here it is—real, beautiful, and right in front of us. I’m beyond honored to stand beside her today, not just as a friend, but as someone who’s witnessed her become the incredible woman and partner she is. This is a full-circle moment, and my heart couldn’t be fuller.

Jacky Corona

Bridesmaid

Meeting Makila in this LAS group in high school and then being in different soccer groups but I still went to the other group so I was able to have fun with Makila and Alyssa. I’m glad I did because I had a way better time and I’m glad that our friendship has gone way beyond high school. Always a good time hanging out and having our drinks and peer pressuring Alyssa to join us. Love spilling tea with each other and catching up on everything important in our lives. Adding a huge event to our memories because now it’s wedding time!!

Julia Sienczuk

Bridesmaid

I love art, exploring different places and reading. I met the lovely couple through my partner, David, and I’ve been grateful ever since. Getting the chance to hang out with Mick we just instantly clicked and it feels like we’ve known each other since forever. I’m super excited to be a bridesmaid and celebrate the happy couples new beginning

Thomas Austin

Best Man

Hi, I am the older brother of the groom. I stand out from the other three brothers as the only one over 5 feet 5 inches tall. One memory with Matt that stands out is when we found the first wild Alligator Snapping Turtle in Illinois since 1984. This actually happened and no one believes us. Bogus. I am so excited to celebrate in November. Cheers Geoff

Groomsman

I am one of the brothers of the groom, if you ever get us all mixed up just remember I’m the one with the blond hair and an ass that won’t quit. My favorite memory with Matt would have to be when we would go carp fishing at Harper College during the summer. We would sit out there with a few poles in the water waiting for a fish to take the bait and one time a massive carp managed to pull one of the poles completely in the water. So Matt had to jump in and get waist deep in Flint Michigan water just to get the pole. He managed to get the pole but no fish, and the Puma Speedcats he was wearing would never recover. I couldn’t be happier for these two and am so excited to celebrate with them in November!

Kyle Hanen

Groomsman

I’m Kyle, and I’ve known Matt since middle school, back when our free time was mainly catching wildlife, shooting each other with airsoft guns, and unsupervised basement MMA matches. Our free time activities may have evolved (slightly), but one thing’s never changed, we’ve always found a way to laugh…usually at each other’s expense. It’s been amazing to watch him grow up (well, mostly) and find someone as fun, kind, and clearly tolerant as Makila. She’s perfect for him, and I am honored to stand by my boys side for this special time in his life!

Alex Feltz

Groomsman

Matt and I have been friends since elementary school, growing up together through every stage, from recess soccer games—where there were always two very distinct teams, and I was lucky enough to be on Matt’s side as he single-handedly won us every game recess after recess—to high school and beyond. We bonded early over shared interests like fishing and sports, but it was his unmatched sense of humor that truly set him apart. He is genuinely the funniest person I know. There hasn’t been a day with Matt that didn’t involve me crying laughing. I knew both Matt and Makila in high school, and seeing how perfectly they complement each other now feels like it was always meant to be. I’m truly honored to stand by Matt’s side as he begins this next chapter. Congratulations to you both—I’m so happy for you and feel lucky to be part of this special moment. I can’t wait to celebrate your big day!

Kevin Gnaster

Groomsman

Matt and I met in faith class at holy family church in 7th grade and became very close in high school and really even more so in college (when I was a 5 hour drive away) which shows how good of a friend he was and still is. He is one of the best friends someone could have and I’m so glad he met an amazing person like Makila who has also become a good friend of mine. One of my favorite moments with the both of them was when we went camping in the middle of nowhere Iowa and we befriended a small pony. He approached us at 1am on one of the nights and as you can imagine, a few drinks in seeing a pony emerge from the darkness is pretty hilarious in itself. Matt can always make a joke out of anything so that camping trip was genuinely one of the most fun experiences of my life. A second moment that I have to call out is when we were hitting baseballs together and Makila camped a popup that ended up hitting her in the foot. That coined the nickname “Mikki flyballs”, so it was cool to be there for the origin of that. Congrats to Matt and Makila, I couldn’t be happier for the both of them!

Groomsman

I met Matt when I was in 1st grade, but It's much harder for me to look back and think of a time when this idiot wasn't in my life, and I am grateful for that. If you know how Matt is today, I promise you it's always been this way: the jokes, the competition, the laughter and that stupid shit eating grin he had when he knew he could rile you up. More importantly - the hard work, dedication, and loyalty was certainly always there as well - there hasn’t been a time where I couldn't count on him. Now, when Matt first told me he was dating Makila, I definitely thought he was playing way out of his league. At that time, I didn't know much about Makila, I just knew he got real lucky. But as I spent time with Matt and Makila, I realized what a sweet person Makila was, making quick friends with me and further with Julia like we were always friends, and understanding and appreciating everything Matt could bring her - that’s when I realized these two were both very lucky to find each other. I’m proud of these two and I cannot wait to celebrate their love this November

Kaleb Bazzy

Usher

My name is Kaleb. Makila is my cousin and has always been the sister I never had! The best memory I will always remember is when we were about 5 and 8 going up to our grandmother and we births asked for a brother and a sister and our grandmother said “why don’t yall just be siblings then” and ever since then we have always acted as if we were! Can’t wait to celebrate the two on the big day.

Cody Bazzy

Usher

I am Cody and I am Makila’s cousin! When kila, kaleb and I were younger, our nana used to watch us while our parents went out. We would have movie night with snacks and popcorn. Until one night kaleb chose the movie and put on "The Girl Next Door" After that we were't allowed to pick the movie. Me and kila have been cousins our whole life and now Matt is joining the family and I get to add another!

Brandon Bogumill

Usher

I am the grooms cousin in law. I am married to Regan who is one of the bridesmaids. I met Matt and Makila a few years ago in Chicago. The 4 of us have had some really fun times together and I am honored to have a part in their special day.

Hanna Austin

Personal Attendant

Hey everyone! I’m the groom's sister-in-law, married to the best man. Coming from a family with just one sister and then marrying into a family of all boys, I’m super excited to officially gain a sister in the Austin family! Mik and I didn’t have a chance to get super close at first since I was still in Minnesota when she and Matt started dating, but now that we’re just three minutes apart, we have gotten so much closer and always have a great time together. The four of us love hitting up breweries, watching baseball games (which always includes Tom telling us too many random stats), and watching our cat Houdini swat at Matt! Some of my favorite memories with the bride and groom are our family trips to Hawaii and the Dominican Republic. I can’t wait to celebrate their big day and all the adventures ahead!
