Passport Requirements

For guests coming from the United States, a valid U.S. Passport is required for reentry. Traveling by car only requires a passport card, and a book is not required. Traveling by air would require that you obtain a complete passport book. Please visit the passport website for additional information.

Cellular Phone Usage

Most U.S. cellular providers will work in Mexicali. However, you may need to add a feature to your rate plan to obtain the ability to use it. You should contact your cellular carrier for more information.

Getting Around

Personally, I do not suggest driving in Mexicali if you are from the U.S. The traffic and roadways are different and would take time to become accustomed to driving here. Uber does operate in Mexicali, so you should not have a problem obtaining ride service in the city.
