Set up by friends Leah and Riley, we first met in the beginning of September, 2014, after a University of Washington football game. The conversation was easy, the connection was instant, and we started dating two weeks later.

At a belated celebration of our eighth anniversary, Matt insisted that we walk down to the pier to "see the sunset."
