The Story

These two love birds meet online through a dating site.. and if you ask Matthew it took 3 months to get Sarah’s number! She was busy visiting her friends and would forget to check the app for messages until she was home! But once he had her number he was quick to ask the elusive mermaid to dinner! Their first date wan’t what either of them hoped for but it ended with them watching Guardian's of the Galaxy 2 and laughing at Grout! They both were so happy they couldn't wait for a second date and made plans right away. From that point on they were inseperable!! Matthew even took on going to North Carolina to meet one of Sarah’s best friends Mallory and Brad Bermudez and their little family! They took up camping (in tents), and visiting the Riverbanks Zoo every other weekend so Sarah could still mermaid. On June 8, 2019, World Ocean Day, Sarah was off to meet up with Mallory and the kids for her first day back at the zoo since her grandfather had pasted away and finishing her Master's Degree. Unfortunately, Matthew was not able to go with her because he supposedly had 3 more exams to take. Although, Sarah was sad, she understood because Matthew’s education was so important and he was so close to being done; and Mallory and the kids would be there anyway! Once back in the tank Sarah has some skills to practice before swimming to the window to find several friends, her parents and Matthew waiting. There Matthew was holding a sign saying how much he loved her and had Mallory's children hold signs that said "Will You Marry Me?" and of course she said YES!!! she quickly got out the tank and ran down in her soaking wetsuit to say yes in person and Matthew put a beautiful diamond ring on her finger!
