Wedding Party

Meet our friends and family who are walking down the aisle with us.

Milina Moreno

Maid of Honor

Milina and I met right before college, right after she denied me as her freshmen year roommate. Then we ended up living together for the next three years. Throughout college she was always in for a crazy night in Baltimore, riding on strangers motorcycles, spending all our parents money at rotating sushi, drinking way too much at Lil Dickys or a chill night on the couch. Even on our lazy days, we never had a dull moment in our apartment. Today we are states apart but in ways it has only made us closer. We have vacations to plan every couple months to see each other and appreciate every minute together. I could not have asked for a better best friend, forever roomie or maid of honor and can't wait to see where our next adventure takes us.

Audrey Tolland

Maid of Honor

Who do I love more, Audrey or Patty?! Don't ask Patty to call you an uber, she will just look the address up in map quest and say the car is coming! Living with your best friends in college is a precious time and we did a great job of making every moment count. There was never a dull moment because when it seemed quiet there was always a prank in the works. I'm sorry I was usually too oblivious to realize the pranks you pulled on me (Justin Bieber poster and loosened light bulbs). Thank you for allowing me to participate in Wood Cutting Day and always showing me a great time in Frederick. Thank you for loving wine and beer just as much as I do. I love our vineyard and brewery tours and can't wait for more to come. Thank you for being my best friend, forever roomie and maid of honor!

Kelly Mavias

Bridesmaid

How lucky am I to be marrying into a family where I have gained not only a best friend but a sister!?! Kelly actually made me an official part of the family before Matt. She asked me to be Nicholas' Godmother before Matt and I were engaged. I love you, Madison and Nicholas so much! Thank you for letting me hang out with you and the kids anytime, always being down for girls night out, wine nights and mimosa mornings on vacation, giving me advice, listening when I need to vent, and really being an amazing best friend and sister! You are a role model to me and I hope one day to be as great and loving of a mother as you are to Madison and Nicholas. Love you sister!

Erin Campbell

Bridesmaid

From babies through adulthood, you have been there for me through it all. And from babies through adulthood, I still move your drinks away from me, yourself and the end of the table. Remember: No red wine at the wedding! :) If we are together, we are having a great time. Just look at how many years we did dance and gymnastics together and loved it. Loved it because we were together. Def not because we had any skills in dance or gymnastics. From singing the yellow submarine, to laughing too loud in the charcoal room at Sojo, to chasing Ed Sheeran down the streets of Galway in Ireland, life is always an adventure with you! Can't wait to see where our next trip takes us! I am so grateful we have remained best friends through all the stages in our lives! Love you Er!

Kiki Popa

Bridesmaid

If I want to go out for a great dinner and cocktails, the first person I call is Kiki! We are pretty good at coming up with occasions as excuses for us to splurge on some high quality food. When we were in college we became regulars at Green Turtle's wine night and at Gibby's seafood market for their dollar crabs. Now I look forward to our dinner dates in New York City drinking dirty martinis and eating oysters and omakase. Thank you for sharing the love for trying different types of foods and exploring different areas with me. I am lucky to have you to share those experiences with.

Kelly Connelly

Bridesmaid

Growing up with an older sister had its perks. Someone to drive you to school, pick you up from parties, steal clothes from, buy you alcohol, and learn from their successes and mistakes. Thank you for taking your little sister along for the ride and always being the designated driver. We always had an interesting time on our mini adventures. Thank you for allowing me to play such an active role in Christopher's life and choosing me to be his godmother. I love you both.

Katie Svat

Bridesmaid

Every time I tell Matt I am going to meet Katie for happy hour, he knows I won't be home for hours. One drink always turns into five and one appetizer usually leads us to another restaurant for one more. I could not have asked for a better roommate in Baltimore after college. We tried to join a corn hole team to meet other people but always ended up ditching and just getting drinks together at a bar right next door. It turned into an excuse that we "had to" go out drinking on a Tuesday night for corn hole even though we rarely attended. Thank you for always making me laugh, being the life of the party and never saying no to a bottle or two of wine and lots of cheese!

Kelsey Mayfield

Bridesmaid

Usually when I am with Kelsey, I spend 80% of the time laughing hysterically. She is one of the funniest people I have met. I am so fortunate to have a friend to go through many firsts together with. We bought houses around the same time, got engaged around the same time and are planning weddings during a pandemic at the same time. It is a blessing to have someone to talk to and relate with about the great, bad, funny and ugly things that happen during these different stages in life. I know that we will be there for eachother through all of our future events and am grateful to have a friend to rely on.

Michael Destefano

Best Man

Mike and I met as I began my teaching career. Although only knowing him for five years, he became my best man. We've had many good times such as: coaching the boys’ basketball team, happy hour at the Caton, and going on trips to AC. Mike will do anything for anybody and is also down to do anything at any time. Kayaking/paddle boarding is always an adventure. Mike’s carefree and adventurous attitude led to us staying out too late one night and almost being hit by a boat as we headed home in the dark on the water. As the boat was coming at Mike, he jumped off and I could just remember his head bobbing in and out of the waves. I'm happy you made that jump or you may not be here today as my best man. Looking forward to continuing this ride and being lifelong friends! Love you man!

Ronnie Giusti

Groomsman

Ronnie is the groomsman I have known the longest and someone I will never lose touch with. Growing up, we would play whatever sport was popular that season with the neighborhood kids and stay out until the streetlights came on. I remember the year I found out my dad’s job was transferring down to Florida. It was the toughest transition for me because I was headed there not knowing a single person. That first month my parents and I were down there, Ronnie flew down and spent a week to make the transition easier. I always view where we grew up in Warrington, PA as home. I even went on senior week with Ronnie and other friends from PA instead of my own in FL. We have had so many good times over the years. He will always be a best friend of mine. Love you like a brother!

Sean Watts

Groomsman

Sean was the first friend I had at Towson as we were both PE majors, and has become one of my best friends. I remember pre-games at his place before nights out on the town in Towson, only to end up at The Real Thing for cheesesteaks (well- a steak sandwich for me) once the bars closed. We have had so many fun times over the years including: playing hoops at Towson, graduating, becoming homeowners, and finally settling down and both getting engaged. I am so happy that our fiancé’s have become friends, and now you and Magdalena are our go-to couple for a night out. I’m so glad to have you be a part of my wedding, and I cannot wait to be a part of yours man. You are one of the best dudes I know and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for us!

Nolan Roe

Groomsman

You are one of the funniest people I know. I met you at Catonsville and it didn’t take you long to give me my nickname “gym teacher” or just plain old “gym”. You also became a gym teacher my first year at Catonsville as you had coverage for you-know-who just about every day LOL. We always have a good time when we’re together- St. Patty’s Day parties at your place, AC trips playing pai gow poker and watching Destefano walk a mile down the boardwalk with his suitcase, helping me carry Sarah out of a bar in Fed Hill, playing hoops and you giving me the reigns to be the coach of the teachers in the parent-teacher game. You always like to keep it real, and I love you for that. I’m happy that Sarah and Bunnie have become friends and I’m looking forward to continuing the great memories.

Joshua Faircloth

Groomsman

I met Josh my freshman year of high school. Our friendship grew as we graduated from high school and went off to college. Josh is down-to-earth and a great friend. We had awesome times throughout college and who can forget our trip to Vegas?! I miss the days when me, you and Varg would go to the Dallas Bull and have a good time. Hopefully sooner rather than later, we can make up that trip to Vegas that we missed out on last year. I’m looking forward to many more good times ahead man!

Paul Knopp

Groomsman

Paul is the only guy I know who would walk into a classroom full of sixth graders and shout out “What’s up Golden Showers?” to me in front of the class. Paul and I have become good friends over the last few years. We met through teaching at the same school, and it’s been a good ride ever since. Playing golf, basketball on Fridays, happy hours, and parties at my place are a few of my favorite memories. This man can be the most serious as well as one of the funniest people I know. Can’t wait for New Orleans!

Garrett Maternick

Groomsman

I met Garrett at orientation for teaching at Catonsville Middle. One of the most worrisome parts about starting a new job/career is finding people who you can relate to. Garrett was that person for me, and we got along right from the start. Five months into that year, we were taking time off from work to take a trip to Vegas (what a weekend!). Garrett is one of the main reasons Sarah and I are getting married. Sarah and I met at a happy hour for Garrett’s birthday. Because of that night, we started talking and not before long we began dating. Garrett is always the life of the party. Whether it is golfing, out in the city or going to one of the bars he works at to get hooked up with free drinks, it’s always a good time. Cannot wait to continue the good times!

Joshua Varghese

Groomsman

I met Josh my freshman year of high school. During high school, him and his family eventually moved to Georgia, but we reunited again at USF. Josh is a down-to-earth dude and we’ve become great friends over the years. From our nights out at USF, living the college life, our Vegas trip to late nights at the Hard Rock trying to run the poker table, we’ve had some great times. We may not talk/see one another as much as we would like, but once we get in contact with one another it’s like we didn’t miss a beat. I can’t wait to meet your wife and son. I also can’t wait to beat your ass in a one-on-one bball game next time I see ya!

Christopher Connelly

Junior Groomsman

Christopher is more than my nephew or godson, he is truly my best friend and one of the most important people in my life. I was fortunate enough to live at home with him during the first four years of his life and the unbreakable bond that we created has only strengthened since over the years. I would do absolutely anything for Christopher and will never stop being his over protective, too involved, silly, fun caring Aunt, godmother and best friend. Matt and I could not imagine our wedding day without his love, silliness and support.

Nicholas Mavias

Ring Bearer

I don’t think there is a second that goes by when I’m with you where I’m not smiling or laughing. You are the funniest little dude I know! You love doing whatever it takes to make everyone in the room laugh, and that is my favorite quality about you. I love when you and your sister spend the night over at our house as those are some of the most fun nights. It has been amazing to watch you as a baby and grow into a little toddler. I look forward to teaching you how to play basketball as you get older, and watch you grow up and get all the ladies. I love you so much and am so lucky to be your uncle!

Madison Mavias

Flower Girl

Until you turned 4, you wanted nothing to do with me. Every time I would hold you, you would start to cry. As you have gotten a bit older, we have developed a special bond that I will never take for granted. It is such a joy to have you in my life, and I am so proud to call you my niece. It has been amazing watching you grow up into such a beautiful, young girl. Whenever I’m not having my best day and I get to see you, you turn my frown into a smile. I love being around both you and your brother and all of our silly memories like mean mookie. Your smile, sense of humor, silliness and intelligence are just a few of my favorite qualities about you. I am so lucky to be your uncle and godfather, and I look forward to watching you continue to grow. I love you!
