Raleigh and Matt met during a semester abroad in Thessaloniki, Greece as part of Northeastern’s NU.in program. Unbeknownst to the two of them, they grew up only 20 miles away from each other in Massachusetts and actually both went to the same blink-182 concert only a few years before. Raleigh was a recovering ex-cheerleading captain and Matt was still riding on the high of the “Most Rebellious 2011” superlative he received his senior year. Although the two became friendly over the course of the trip, it wasn’t until sophomore year that Raleigh and Matt connected in earnest. Raleigh conveniently needed “help” with her economics coursework and Matt, a budding financial mind, was more than willing to help. It wasn’t long until the two discovered their mutual love for the Boston culinary scene, often taking study breaks to Burger King, among other locales. Soon thereafter, Matt realized that he had the chance of a lifetime to be with someone like Raleigh and made it official. Nearly eight years later and after countless apartment moves, job changes, dog walks, road trips, TV marathons, Raleigh and Matt have decided to tie the knot.
