We're Getting Married!

We met through a mutual friend, who insisted on setting us up on a blind date. We were both a little hesitant, but we finally caved and went bowling. We were both pretty nervous at first (especially since neither of us can bowl), but we soon realized we had a lot in common. The rest is history!

We've been exploring Colorado together since we met, and Steamboat Springs is one of our favorite places--we go camping there every summer. In 2023 we went back for our fourth visit, stayed at the hot springs, and did some hiking and mountain biking. Pretty standard, but little did Rachel know this trip was going to be slightly different! After a great weekend, we pulled off at a quiet little trail called Shane Gulch and went for a hike through some aspens and wildflowers. When Rachel asked Matt to take her picture on a fallen tree, he told her to look out over the mountains, and when she turned around he proposed! She almost fell off the tree in tears (he's still not sure if they were excited tears). Thankfully she said yes and didn't get hurt! We can't wait to celebrate with everyone!! See you in Colorado!
