Chapel Hill
Check out Payton’s college town, also known as the “Southern Part of Heaven.” Her must sees are Sutton’s, Top of the Hill, He’s Not Here, and of course checking out Kenan Stadium and the Deam Dome. Ask her for more recommendations! Go Heels!
Wilmington
A beautiful beach town only a 2.5 hour drive away from Raleigh! It is an easy day trip, and it is very much worth it. You can spend the day at the beach, walk around the beautiful downtown, explore other scenic outdoor areas, and there are so many amazing restaurants and ice cream shops. Again, ask Payton for recommendations!
Boone
The mountains are also only 2.5 hours from Raleigh! This will be a beautiful time of year to go. There are so many fun fall activities to do in the mountains—ask Payton :)

A very nice restaurant to get a good taste of southern food & NC barbecue! You can explore downtown Raleigh while you are there!

Another great BBQ place—one of Payton’s favorites! This one is more casual with lower prices.
State Farmers Market
A great way to spend the Saturday morning after the wedding or Friday before the wedding!
William B. Umstead State Park
A great place for hiking or exploring outside

There is a beautiful lake near the venue that you can easily explore!
Frankie’s Fun Park
So many fun things to do! They have mini golf, go karts, amusement rides, arcade games, food, bumper cars, laser tag, and more.

The Carolina Hurricanes take on the Minnesota Wild Thursday night, November 6th. If you’re in town early, go check out the best atmosphere in the NHL! Go Canes!
