Chinese Tea Ceremony

4:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

This is typically an intimate event with family before cocktail hour and reception begin. However, we are going to do this on the stage of our banquet hall to share the beauty of our culture and the celebration of this meaningful tradition. WHAT'S A CHINESE TEA CEREMONY? In traditional Chinese society, members of the younger generation offer a cup of tea to their elders as a sign of respect. The bride & groom kneel in front of their parents and serve them tea as a way to thank them for all the years of love, care and support. The tea itself is very meaningful in the wedding ceremony (symbolizes purity, stability and fertility). PURITY of tea= the love that is pure and noble; STABILITY of tea= faithful love; FERTILITY of tea= family will have many children. more about tradition here: https://www.teasenz.com/chinese-tea/chinese-wedding-tea-ceremony.html
