Once upon a time in the digital realm, Nicole and Matt embarked on an adventure that would lead them to the altar. It all began on the dating app Bumble, where fate played cupid on the sacred day of pi, March 14th, 2019. After a mutual swiping to the right and countless exchanged messages it was clear that these two were a match made in pixelated heaven. The two started things out with a casual first date at East Rock Brewery a week later. With their hearts aflutter and liquid courage in hand, they embarked on an evening filled with laughter, good conversation, and clinking glasses. As the night waned, Matt offered to drive Nicole home, silently thinking to himself that the date had gone swimmingly. As destiny would have it, they agreed to rendezvous again in two weeks' time. However, the waiting game proved unbearable, and only four short days later, they found themselves face-to-face once more. The relationship quickly progressed from there with dates occurring with increasing frequency until they were spending most of their free time together. The two have ventured up to Montreal, flown off to Brazil, and hiked through several National Parks together. They find it easy to spend slow Saturdays together, dive into deep conversations, and explore the world around them hand in hand.

On a beautiful fall day at Jonathan Edwards Winery, Matt had a sneaky plan up his sleeve to surprise his love. He told Nicole they were meeting up with a friend and her adorable newborn baby, so Nicole arrived in very casual attire, ready for some baby snuggles and possible baby vomit. Little did she know it was all a ruse to set the stage for our magical engagement. With a few glasses of Pinot Grigio in hand, and a lovely charcuterie board Matt had prepared, they were enjoying the vineyard vibes when Matt’s friend Danielle asked if they could take some photos of her and baby Emma by the grapevines. They happily obliged, Nicole unaware that this was a setup for the big question. After a few photos of Danielle, Matt asked if she could return the favor and take a few shots of Nicole, their dog Mellie, and him. Then he slyly pulled out a special bandanna for Mellie that read, “Will you marry my dad?” Confusion turned into pure joy as Nicole read the heartfelt message. Matt dropped to one knee, heart racing with anticipation, and asked Nicole to marry him. With tears of happiness, she said yes! It was a moment filled with love, laughter, and pure bliss. To top it off, Matt revealed a photographer had been hiding on the deck of the winery capturing the entire engagement, ensuring the memories would be cherished forever.
