This is a small wedding happening incredibly fast, what's the rush?

Answer

Nicole is not pregnant. We want to buy a house within the next year and want to be married when we do so! Hence, the small summer wedding.

Question

Will there be a bigger wedding down the road?

Answer

We will have a much larger wedding party 'celebration,' in which all of our friends and extended family will be invited to attend in a few years. Everyone attending our small wedding this summer will also be invited to that.

What do I say to a friend or family member not invited? Have Matt and Nicole reached out to extended family?

Answer

These are both great questions and we completely understand that we have placed our dearest family and friends in an unusual situation. For anyone not invited, please relay 'Nicole and Matt are planning on buying a house sooner rather than later and want to be married before doing so. Once they buy a house and get their lives together, they will begin planning a larger, inclusive wedding celebration.' Matt and Nicole are talking to their extended family to relay our plans to have a small wedding and then a larger celebration down the road.

Is there a wedding registry/do I need to purchase a wedding gift?

Answer

There is no registry and we implore you to pause on any/all wedding gift purchases until our larger celebration! Since we plan on moving within the year, we would like to keep our belongings to an all time low. Even if it's a gift card? Absolutely please do not purchase - Nicole loves to buy things. I mean, who doesn't.
