We’re getting married!

It all began in the summer of August 2022. Matt had just settled into his new place in Santa Monica, ready to start a new chapter, while I was in Anaheim, focused on training. Neither of us knew it then, but life was about to change in the most beautiful way. A mutual dear friend and my teammate, Rhamat, invited me to a day party one weekend we had off from training. We stopped by her friend’s place to hang out prior to the party, which just so happened to be Matt’s apartment. What began as a casual pregame quickly became something much more. At first, it was just playful banter and a few games, but somewhere between laughter and easy conversations, Matt and I found ourselves gravitating toward each other. By the time we got to the party, it felt like the world around us disappeared. We spent hours in deep conversation, talking about family, ambitions, life goals, and everything in between. It was effortless, natural, and so genuine. Before the night was over, Matt looked at me and with a kind of boldness that still makes me smile, asked if he could take me out on a real date. I was in complete shock because no one has ever asked me out face to face the very first time meeting before. I said yes (obviously) and I couldn’t stop cheesing for the rest of the night. That was the beginning of us. What started as a summer day in 2022 has grown into the greatest adventure of our lives, and we can’t wait to continue writing this story together, forever.
