We're getting married!

Matt and Nelly have a mutual friend who hosts parties sometimes. We were both at one of his birthday parties and New Years' Eve party. Technically that's where we first met.

We should preface this with the fact that Matt spent a week or two making something with a friend before the events that follow. We both had a day off and started it with our Bible-in-a-year reading for the day. Next we went to Texas de Brazil for lunch. After that, we went bowling where we had our first date. Unbeknowst to Matt, Nelly wrote the word "YES" on the bottom of a plastic duck while he was in the bathroom. This will be relevant later. After bowling, we went to Highbanks Park where we often go for walking and/or reading on a particular swing. For extra context, we were currently reading The Princess Bride. The swing was occupied that day even after multiple passes. Matt told Nelly to go find a spot in the grass with the blanket while he got something out of the car. Matt arrived at the blanket, pulled a book out of his jacket and said he had a different copy of The Princess Bride to read from today. Nelly opened it to see a cut-out scene with a ring box and then Matt proposed. Nelly handed Matt a duck that said "YES" on the bottom. Then we proceeded to read from our normal copy of The Princess Bride that did not have pages cut out :)
