French/Hawaiian influenced fine dining. All of their dishes are unique, fun, and interesting. Definitely recommend to those that want to venture out and try some of Hawaii's fine dining cuisine. Recommended to make reservations two months in advance.
For those thinking of laying on the beautiful beach of Lanikai, stop by this local Hawaiian breakfast joint in Kailua. We highly recommend the guava chiffon pancakes and any of their loco moco's (we liked the sisig [crispy pork belly]) with a side of brown gravy. Try to get there early and expect a wait.
The original food truck is located in North Shore but expect a LONGGG wait (1-2 hours) and also expect to wait a bit to find parking. Or you can go to the location in the H-Mart in Waikiki with 0 wait time and plenty of free parking. No frill food stop - it's garlic shrimp, mac salad and heaps of rice.
Matt's favorite tonkatsu spot in Oahu. Try their kurobota tonkatsu - it is very rich and fatty. Recommended to make reservations a month in advance. Take out is also available but not recommended for the best experience.
