A Winter Wedding.

Neither one of us had our search radius set beyond 20+ miles on the app, yet we matched while in Philadelphia and Maryland - a technological miracle. While tinder brought us together, it was the first date that really sealed the deal. We met in the Chestnut Hill Starbucks; Matthew had on his "getting lucky in Kentucky shirt" and Michael was, as per usual, looking more ~dapper~ in his plaid button up - the perfect testament to our personalities. It was here that Matthew lied, saying he didn't like confrontation, and where Michael lied, saying he didn't like drama. A random woman told us that we looked good together and that Matthew was Michael's sidekick (this has developed to sous chef). We began dating shortly after that first date. We became our most authentic and comfortable selves because of each other, only strengthened by our long-distance relationship. We knew that if we could get past two years of distance, we would be unstoppable, and look at us now!

We're so extra we got engaged twice! Our first time was on January 24, 2018. Matthew knew he wanted Finn (our cat) to be involved, so he hand stitched a note for Michael, saying, "Will you Marry Me?", surrounded by a heart, and tied it to Finn's collar. Michael was doing laundry when he found it on his collar, and next thing he knew, Matthew was down on one knee asking him to marry him - and Michael obviously said yes. The second engagement was Michael asking Matthew on April 21, 2018. We took a trip to Brooklyn with Alex and Maggie, where we walked around a park after going to Brooklyn Brewery, a staple of ours whenever we go to NYC. During an impromptu photoshoot in the park, Michael was down on one knee asking Matthew to marry him. After MUCH thought (lol), Matthew finally said yes!
