The most cliché way a couple can meet: The gym. He was working at Planet Fitness and I was trying to stay fit before physical therapy school. He checked me in one day and I thought "Man he's cute...". One week later, I was working out and made awkward eye contact with him while he was working out at the same time. One hour of several awkward eye contacts later, I was walking out to my car when his friend yelled from across the parking lot "Hey! My friend Matt says have a great evening!". I could tell Matt utterly embarrassed. I yelled back "Hey! My name's Megan, tell Matt I hope he has a great evening too!". I took a chance and yelled "And tell him I think he's cute too!" knowing he could very well hear me. The next day we were back in the gym at the same time and the rest is history :)
Yet again, another cliché way to be engaged! We were at the beach in St. George's Island with my family for the week. One evening, Matt wanted to go on a walk down by the beach, which seemed normal. However, my entire family decided to join, which seemed odd because normally at least one or two people stay behind. I could tell he was getting nervous by the sweat in his palm as we held hands and walked our dog. He started to lag behind as I kept walking before I turned around and there he was on his knee with my family and their phones out! Our dog was pulling at the leash, my hair messy from a day of fishing, my cousin was 2 inches away from us staring at the ring, and the families down either way of the beach were yelling "Congratulations!!!". I wouldn't have had it any other way :) (cue the "Awwwwwww")
