Matthew and I meet on a blind date. We had been talking to each other for a few weeks, while Matthew was at work out of state. When he came back he had taken me to Texas Roadhouse because he knew how much I love bread rolls. We spent the whole night at the restaurant talking and laughing. I think Matthew was nervous because he drank 10 glasses of sweet tea (I counted).When we left we started walking to our cars Matthew realized that one of my tires was flat! So he filled it with air for me! ALSO…..When I got there I knew how he looked because I seen photos of him, but he never asked for photos of me! So he had no clue who I was! When I asked him a few months later how he knew it was me he says “well you walked up to me so I assumed it was you”

Matthew and I went on a date day! We went to the new Buccee’s in Mississippi and then to Silver Slipper for some gambling and a crab buffet dinner! We took our time, took a nice walk on the beach, little did I know the whole time we were out Matthew had gotten some help from my sister (Shelbie) and Brother in Law (Jacob) to set up a proposal for me when we got home! As we get home at around Midnight! I open the door to see a sign that says “will you marry me?”, beautiful lights, all our loved ones watching, and my godchild (Nia) shouting “SURPRISE NANNY!” with my favorite Elvis Presley song playing “can’t help falling in love”. Matthew gets on one knee and pops the question with a beautiful engagement ring! I was so happy and in shock I had to clue that this was going on! He did a great job!
