The venue is located in a remote area within the North York Moors National Park with limited taxi services (definitely no Uber). If you're able to, we highly recommend renting a car. Make sure you're prepared to drive on the other side of the road and expect small country lanes and lots of roundabouts. NOTE: For US guests, if you do rent a car, make sure to specify Automatic transmission. Everyone in the UK drives manual a.k.a "stick shift," if you don't specify Automatic, you will be given a Manual car.
From whichever airport you choose to fly in to, there will be a nearby train station. If you fly to Edinburgh. From Edinburgh Waverley train station: Cross Country Train to Newcastle, Northern Rail to either Whitby or Danby (depending on where your accommodation is located) If you fly to Manchester. From Manchester Picadilly train station: TransPennine Express Train to York. York is located 40 miles from the venue and is well worth a visit (check out "Things to do" for more information on York). From York, you will be able to find rental car services, bus services and taxi services. If you fly to London Heathrow. July is the hottest month on average for this area. Now, hottest doesn't necessarily mean hot! This is the North of England and anything above 80⁰F generally sparks a national holiday! Average temperatures for July in North York Moors are highs of 64⁰F (18⁰C) & lows of 52⁰F (12⁰C), it's common for it to rain and it's also not uncommon for it be a beautiful sunny day. Basically, be prepared for anything and bring a jacket!
