Should I rent a car?
Answer
The venue is located in a remote area within the North York Moors National Park with limited taxi services (definitely no Uber). If you're able to, we highly recommend renting a car. Make sure you're prepared to drive on the other side of the road and expect small country lanes and lots of roundabouts. NOTE: For US guests, if you do rent a car, make sure to specify Automatic transmission. Everyone in the UK drives manual a.k.a "stick shift," if you don't specify Automatic, you will be given a Manual car.

If I don't rent a car, how would you recommend I get to the venue?
Answer
From whichever airport you choose to fly in to, there will be a nearby train station. If you fly to Edinburgh. From Edinburgh Waverley train station: Cross Country Train to Newcastle, Northern Rail to either Whitby or Danby (depending on where your accommodation is located) If you fly to Manchester. From Manchester Picadilly train station: TransPennine Express Train to York. York is located 40 miles from the venue and is well worth a visit (check out "Things to do" for more information on York). From York, you will be able to find rental car services, bus services and taxi services. If you fly to London Heathrow. From London Kings Cross train station: London North Eastern Railway (LNER) to York. York is located 40 miles from the venue and is well worth a visit (check out "Things to do" for more information on York). From York, you will be able to find rental car services, bus services, train services, taxi services. There are other routes available from London Kings Cross, please use trainline.com There will be a bus to take guests to the venue and back. The bus will arrive to the venue at 12:30pm and depart with guests at midnight.

What is summer cocktail attire?
Answer
For men: No tuxedos. Lightweight suit. Ties & jackets, not required. For women: Cocktail dresses, maxi dresses. Hats are not required.

What is the weather like?
Answer
July is the hottest month on average for this area. Now, hottest doesn't necessarily mean hot! This is the North of England and anything above 80⁰F generally sparks a national holiday! Average temperatures for July in North York Moors are highs of 64⁰F (18⁰C) & lows of 52⁰F (12⁰C), it's common for it to rain and it's also not uncommon for it be a beautiful sunny day. Basically, be prepared for anything and bring a jacket!

How do I get to and from the venue?

Here is a list of local taxi services, there are no Ubers, and these will need booking in advance. Otherwise, you'll be sleeping with the sheep. Make sure to double-check it is booked in the run up to the day. There will be a bus to bring guests to and from the wedding. The bus will arrive at the venue at 12:30pm and depart at midnight.
