It was love at first swipe, literally! We matched on Bumble our junior year of college and decided to meet for the first time after talking for a couple of weeks at our college's food court. He was surprised that he did not scare me off with his opinions about politics and I was surprised that I did not scare him off after admitting to be taking a class on serial killers. We have been discussing "interesting" topics ever since and with our future careers in law and medicine I am certain those discussions will continue.

We went on vacation with his family at Lake Norfork in Arkansas where we went swimming and water skiing. The morning of the proposal, I woke up with hives all over my body; I was having an allergic reaction to the sunscreen we were using. After sleeping most of the day due to me taking several Benadryls, Matthew suggested we go for a nice walk by the lake front. It was on this walk at sunset that he asked me to marry him with his mom hiding behind trees to film the special moment.
