It all started in 2022 on Hinge, when Mat made the first move with a simple message, "You have a pretty name." Smooth, right? Laney, however, took her time-about a month to respond... But once she did, the conversation never stopped, and they spent the next month or so getting to know each other nonstop. At the time, Laney was deep in the chaos of PA school (if you know, you know), and Mat had just moved to Arizona to start working for Tesla. When they finally planned their first date, Laney did the unthinkable-she was late. Anyone who knows her knows that basically never happens. Luckily, Mat decided she was worth the wait and the rest is history. Since then, they have built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. Together, they've survived multiple moves, Laney graduating PA school & starting her career in Emergency Medicine, and two car glow-ups, while adding two kitties (children) to their family. They love spending their time adventuring-whether it's backpacking and camping trips, annual floats, hiking new trails, or simply staying home for steak night, watching movies, or playing Mario party (even though Mat always wins). Today, they're still happily building their life together in Arizona and can't wait to celebrate their next chapter surrounded by all of you!
