~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our story began in Spanish class at Higley High School in 2010, where we met and became friends. As friends we went on mini adventures, played games together online, and spent hours video chatting on Skype. We could tell there was something more than friendship blossoming. But then Katie moved with her family to California. The distance made a relationship feel impossible and we fell out of touch. We talked off and on throughout college, occasionally going a hikes together, but ultimately went on separate journeys and became different people. When we reconnected, a beautiful relationship blossomed. Even after all the challenges and changes we went through, we still had a deep connection. Nothing is sweeter than feeling as if no time has passed despite years and distance. We had to fall apart to find ourselves and truly see each other. Everyday we strengthen one another emotionally, spiritually, and physically through conversations, prayer, and adventures. We thank you for celebrating with us and wish to remind you that your presence in people's lives remains with them even when you are absent. True connections may fade but they will never die, they may even still have yet to blossom.
