It all started in MacDowell Hall at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA. Katelyn lived next door to a few of Matt's close friends and they all hung out routinely. Matt invited Katelyn to hang out at his friend's house on 1/30/2015, where they really hit it off. After that night, Matt finally gained the courage to ask Katelyn out on a date (February 6th, 2015), where he created a "Date Night Menu." They went for dinner at Costello's in Kingston, PA, bowling at Chacko's and dessert at Dairy Queen in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and then finished the night off renting "Tammy" from Red Box. The "Date Night Menu" definitely was a good move on Matt's part as they both knew right from the start that this was going to be something special. Matt then asked Katelyn to officially be his girlfriend on February 18, 2015!

It all started with an early birthday weekend getaway to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania in Wellsboro, PA. We decided to take a weekend to go hiking and see some of the gorgeous views in the area. We went to Colton Point State Park to hike the trails and see the beautiful scenery. Prior to the getaway, Matt secretly organized for both of our families to meet us at Barbour Rock trail at 2 PM at a specified location. Once we got to this specific spot, Matt then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said YES!! After this, our families enjoyed the rest of the weekend together at one of the local hotels in Wellsboro, PA.

We have been dating for 5 years, beginning on February 18, 2015. Katelyn is a Hospitalist Physician Assistant at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, where she has been working for the last 2 years. Matt is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at NovaCare Rehabilitation in Exton, PA, where he has been working for the last year.
