Believe it or not we actually met at work! As most of you know Matt worked for Meijer as an Asset Protection Manager. In 2018 I started working there as just an employee and I actually thought Matt was just a weird customer that always came into the store and never bought anything until I learned he worked for the store! From that moment on we quickly became friends and were always joking with each other at work. Due to me being in college at Ashland I had to quit the store to save me from having to drive back and forth. Once I quit Matt asked me to our first date which was to get coffee at Krispy Kreme! We hit it off and the rest is history :)

Since two close friends were getting married in Naples, Fl we decided to make a vacation out of it and stayed on Marco Island in a beach front condo. The last night of our trip we went to a really nice steakhouse and then went on a sunset walk on the beach. We were collecting shells and watching the dolphins that were right by the shore. Before heading back up to the condo we wanted to take some photos so Matt propped his phone up on one of the beach tables, little did I know he actually set it to record a video. He popped the question and of course I said yes! And yes he did make me cry, it was one of the best days of my life!
