We love everyone and wish we had enough private bedrooms for everyone, but that is really hard to pull off. (insert the stressed/sweating emoji) So out of the 7 private bedrooms and 2 bunk rooms (for reference: one bunk room has 14 twin beds, 1 double bed, and a sleeper sofa // the other bunk room has 12 twin beds & 1 sleeper sofa) the plan is for Matt & me to have a room. My parents, Becky and Kelvin, will have a room. Matt's mom, Terri, will have a room. My sister, Taylor, and her husband Ryan will have a room. My Uncle Johnny and and his wife, Jackie, will have a room. And in the Casita, Matt's Dad, Tim, and step mom, Sandy, will have a room. Matt's brother JP, his wife Sarah, and their two little ones will have a room in the Casita. Again we love all of y'all and are so happy y'all are joining us, but to the bunk rooms for the rest of y'all. Also, all of the private bedrooms have their own bathrooms, and there are bathrooms for each of the bunk rooms. The VRBO listing says there are a total of 10 bathrooms in the house.
Whatever you want! Seriously though I just want people to be comfortable and enjoy themselves. Given that we plan on getting married in Snow Canyon State Park, we want people to be able to enjoy the park and comfortably check out any trails. If you want to do that in a dress or dress pants, more power to you. (Chaffed thighs gang unite!) Or if you want to be in hiking pants or jeans or shorts or whatever, seriously, just be yourself and be comfortable. Either way, we’re just happy you could be there. :) And if anyone wants color recommendations, I would describe them as “Utah Desert Wedding Colors” or even “Fall Wedding Colors” I have a few color swatch pictures I can happily text to anyone who would like to see them.
90s during the day and 60s at night is the average temp range. Apologies to anyone shocked, but it is located in the Mojave Desert. But the views are supposed to be beautiful and there is a pool, slip-n-slide, and a splash pad to keep cool in at the house.
We have a few items on our registry here on Zola, but that is it. We very much just look forward to spending the time with everyone and understand that people are taking time off work, kids out of school, and traveling all the way there to celebrate with us. Which is a gift in itself, BUT, if anyone feels so inclined, we would obviously be very thankful for any gifts, especially the honeymoon funds. Overall it feels weird to ask for things/items since we've already made it this long together with what we've got.
We are still trying to come up with those (there are so many cool state parks and national parks in that region) but so far we're just at the thought of being at the house with everyone. Whether it be the day of check in, Wednesday, or Friday, we hope anyone who wants to go explore the area will do so. We are hoping to go to Zion National Park one of the days we are in town. Also, we will have a professional photographer on the wedding day and look forward to having photos of everyone celebrating with us. :)
We have the house rented from Tuesday, September 3rd, through Saturday, September 7th.
Check-in is at 4PM on Tuesday, and check-out is 10AM on Saturday.
Some have told us they that plan on driving in and making a road trip out of it and others are planning on flying in that Tuesday. For family flying in, we highly recommend carpooling/sharing a rental car. Feel free to reach out to us or with one another and we can try to come up with vehicle game plans. We are limited to 12 vehicles on the property and they have made it clear in their rental rules that there is no street parking available.
The state park should be a little less crowded on a Thursday compared to the weekend. And for people driving in, it gives more time to have for the drive back home without having to miss work or school the following week.
