We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Jerell and Matthew first crossed paths during a Wednesday night church meeting. After some cheeky back and forth banter, we parted ways but continued to see each other in passing. One Sunday afternoon, Jerell found Matthew on Facebook and decided to shoot his shot by rolling into the DM! We had our first date on September 18, 2018, at AMF Richardson Lanes where Matthew let him win… as he continues to do. Navigating schedules and more and more dates, we grew closer and closer, becoming an official couple in November 2018.

In July 2021, we planned to spend Independence Day together. This holiday was the only holiday we had not had the chance to celebrate as a couple. Jerell had just finished his first semester back in school. Matthew used these premises to disguise what was happening on this day. He gathered family and friends of the couple and invited them to help “celebrate” Jerell’s achievement. At 3:00 pm during a Thank you speech, a slideshow began to play with messages for Jerell to read. Getting down on one knee, Matthew proposed and Jerell said Yes! Now, after nearly 4 years together, we can’t wait to tie the knot and start our happily ever after!
