They met in high school, out by the football field. He was a football player, she was an equipment manager. He was injured, so he decided to help with the equipment. It was love at first sight. They became fast friends, and everyone knew they were a thing. At the end of senior year, he became a disciple! They started college together, building their friendship and their faith. On April 19th, 2014 he asked her to be his girlfriend. On January 20th, 2015 he left for basic training. 19 weeks later they were reunited...for 10 days. Then he was sent to South Korea for a year-long tour. She visited in October, he visited in February. June of 2016 he was back in Colorado... for good! She moved to Colorado Springs to be closer in January of 2017. And on New Year's Day 2018 he popped the question! A journey of almost 7 years, but worth every minute.
