We have decided to elope on the Pacific Crest Trail this summer! We are very excited to get married. Since we've both deleted our Facebook pages we're hoping to use this website for wedding communication! We'll be celebrating our wedding at tiny receptions around the country and we hope to see you there. Thank you so much for supporting us. Love, Matt and Jenea
We met during an evacuation while we were in the Peace Corps. I thought Matt was pretty cool when I heard him reading some of General Patton's speeches and I later requested him to perform those speeches again. We bonded over hardships we were going through and our decision to leave the Peace Corps. We kept in touch over Facebook as we changed jobs and went through relationships, and eventually while I was visiting Hollywood, FL, Matt and I made plans to meet up in Michigan. That first weekend we spent together in June 2016, we both realized we loved each other. Over the following weeks and months we talked on the phone every day. When I visited Matt in California in September, we decided to move in together. In January 2017, we crossed the state line on our road trip out west. In May 2017, we moved into our first home. In November 2017, Matt asked me to marry him. And here we are, eloping in June 2018! Thank you so much to all of our friends and family for joining us on our adventures and supporting us. We so appreciate all of your kind words and we can't wait to celebrate with you.
