Maid of Honor
Molly is more like a sister than a best friend, I can't imagine a better maid of honor for our big day. We technically met as babies since we were born in the same hospital 6 days apart (a girl can dream), but we grew to be inseparable in high school. Now we are lucky enough to live only a couple blocks away from each other and we love hanging out every week! No one can make me laugh as hard as Molly can and I love the nights we spend all together with Matt and her husband, Ben.
Best Man
As you all know, Stephen is my brother, so the best man job was his to lose, but unlike the Vikings and Timberwolves that we mutually love, he did not squander my love and leave me disappointed. Quite the opposite actually. I could not have asked for a better brother, and I am honored to call him my best man.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey and I became fast friends after one fateful trip to the state fair and the rest is history! We love canoeing and camping on the river, planning elaborately themed parties, cats, and house plants. I love that we have so many things in common, including our sense of humor. Some of my favorite memories with Matt are when we are having river adventures with Kelsey and her boyfriend Joe!
Groomsman
Brent and I met in middle school, became close friends in high school, and continued to grow closer as the years have gone on. Before I met Jamey, when I was in Minnesota, I could most often be found in Brent's duplex in Northeast Minneapolis arguing with him about some political or philosophical nonsense into the early hours of the morning. He and his wonderful wife Maggie travelled to New Orleans and Tennessee with us in the years before COVID, and they also bought a house around the same time in Columbia Heights.
Bridesmaid
Megan was my first roommate at the University of Minnesota and I couldn't have gotten more lucky. We liked living together so much that we actually were roommies 2 more times before she moved to New York! I love getting to visit her and exploring the east coast together and I can't wait to celebrate with her at her own wedding this summer!
Groomsman
Christopher is one of two equal cousin-groomsmen. He was a great influence growing up, and a great friend. He loves telling the story of how he once beat both Stephen and I at wrestling at the same time. We travelled to Vegas and the Grand Canyon together with Stephen and Ryan. The attached photograph is of the happiest moment of both of our lives, the Minneapolis Miracle. That is to say, the happiest moment before I met Jamey and he met Laura, Christopher's wonderful tall girlfriend if you didn't know.
Bridesmaid
Taylor and I became friends in freshman year at the University of Minnesota and lived together sophomore year in Dinkytown AND after college in Uptown! When Matt lived in Eau Claire he would stay with us (almost) every weekend at our Uptown apartment and I'm so glad Taylor never got sick of him.
Groomsman
Matt and I have been friends since time immemorial. In high school we spent countless hours in his parents' basement playing ping pong and video games. I would say we competed academically, but the man is a certifiable genius. We've stayed friends over the years and he was always a regular visitor in Madison over the years. The picture is from the time when Matt carried me to second place in a half marathon relay.
Bridesmaid
I'll never forget the day Mel and I met at the start of 4th grade at Parkview Elementary, that's 18 years of friendship and countless laughs, stories, and embarrassing pictures. I met Matt while Mel and I were living together in Uptown and she was the first person I told about our date when I got home. I can't wait to celebrate with her by my side!
Groomsman
Matt and I met in middle school and we must have been good friends because we decided to be roommates during our freshman year in Madison... and all the rest of our undergrad years. Even as of October 1, Matt will have lived with me longer than Jamey has, and he honestly deserves a medal. He's one of the kindest, smartest people I know and I'm honored to have him as a groomsman.
Groomsman
Ryan is the equal and other cousin-groomsman. We lived together during law school and practiced law in the same building in Eau Claire. He's one of the most caring and driven people I know and I am proud to call him my cousin and groomsman.
