On a cold Narragansett night in April 2018, Haley and Matt met through mutual friends at the University of Rhode Island. They quickly became close, spending the following summer visiting each other in their hometowns. In the midst of the pandemic, Haley moved into the Nash household on Greensboro Road. During that time, they spent many weekends enjoying game nights with Matt’s mother, Kris, and her fiancé, Shaun—sharing countless laughs and creating lasting memories. After more than a year living in Dedham, Haley and Matt took the leap into renting their first apartment together in South Boston. Once they grew tired of spending hours searching for parking, they relocated to North Quincy, where they spent three years enjoying endless sushi nights and taking in views of Downtown Boston and the Neponset River. On Columbus Day weekend in 2024, Matt proposed to Haley on Hazard Rock in Narragansett, surrounded by their loving and supportive friends and family. In the summer of 2025, Haley and Matt returned to Rhode Island, where they purchased and moved into their first home together in Rumford, RI.
