We actually met through a mutual friend a long time ago, when we were maybe 14 & 16 years old. We never really talked or hung out besides then, and went separate ways for a few years. When we were 17 & 18 years old, we reconnected randomly via Facebook. Who knew I guess😆, one message could lead to a new journey of life with someone better than could’ve asked for. <3

We took our first road trip shortly after we moved in together. On our way to Riverton, Wyoming!! It was a sweet little get away town to enjoy a quiet weekend in🥰

According to sources, Matt had actually planned to propose August 20th, a day later than he actually did. We had planned to go hiking with some family to some beautiful hot springs. Don’t get me wrong, Matt did the respectful thing by asking the father for permission to marry his daughter- but that’s not always an easy secret to keep. Apparently, after Matt had asked for said permissions, Hailey’s dad just couldn’t wait & let us know Matt had “something to say” when we were all gathered again. The proposal was beautiful, and we wouldn’t change anything about the way it happened, I guess that’s how it was meant to go!
