We’re Getting Married!

Gecille would tell you different. We met in Hawaii during lunch, I was eating lunch at Wendy’s with an old buddy and here walks in the most beautiful woman with a group of guys. My buddy started to grumble how he would pull a girl like that then I told him to watch and learn... I took a deep breathe, not knowing how this was going to play out but what the heck. Pimp walk with a slight touch of the hand with a little smile. She turned around and smiled back. I was head over heels for this woman. After that we went out on a few dates and regular trips around the Hawaii islands. I decided this was the woman for my life.

Every year we gather as a family for a summer trip. During this get together we were having a bbq and shooting guns. Matt decided he wanted to go sight seeing which is typical for us to do. He was eager to get me to dress up. I refused because we were outdoors and sweating. So I asked everyone else if they were dressing up and they were not. He said he wanted to take pictures and I was thinking to myself why. Not often does he take pics. I was grumbling to his family about it and he got upset because he over heard me talking about him. To make him a little happier, I put my sandals on and let my hair down. We made up in the car lol. We got to the destination with everyone and walked down the botanical garden. Kids were running ahead of us and Matt says to look for a 4 leaf clover which I was also looking for one. He then started to give a speech as I stood besides him. This is normal for him because he always tells his family he loves them. He was talking for a while and once I heard him say “We’ve been doing this for about 11 years and I really feel we are ready for the next step.” That is the moment I realized he was proposing. I cried! Those were happy tears and I wasn’t expecting this. I said “YES.” This is the man that I wanted to be with forever. Not only is he an amazing partner but he is also a great dad to our children.
