Our story started the most New Orleans way possible — at Jazz Fest in 2014. What began as a fun festival connection quickly turned into a friendship. We spent a lot of time doing what we did best back then: grabbing drinks, catching up, sending Parks and Recreation memes and collecting buckets of beer at our favorite bar, Parlay’s. At the time, we weren’t exactly sure what our love story was supposed to look like — we just knew we enjoyed being together. As life started moving forward, things naturally fell into place. When Garrett moved to Houston and Matthew was deep in physical therapy school, the friendship turned into something more. Somewhere between long drives, late nights, and figuring out adulthood together, we realized we had quietly fallen in love. From there, life kept unfolding side by side. We eventually moved to Austin together, bought our first home, and somehow became the proud parents of three very spoiled dogs — proudly living our best lives as #GirlDads. What started with music, beer buckets, and a whole lot of fun turned into a life we’re incredibly grateful for — and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you.
