Troy Waterfront Farmers Market
An absolute MUST when you're in town, taking place every Saturday in the summer. Step just outside of both the Best Western and the Marriott to find the best local artisan market. Grab a breakfast sandwich and a coffee before the ceremony from one of the many stands, and enjoy some live music and plenty of puppies.
Wolff's Biergarten
Take on "The Boot" at this German style beer hall. A sister location to one of Erin and Matt's favorite watering holes, the Biergarten will have you wishing you brought your Leiderhosen.
Iron Gate Cafe
There's no such thing as a bad meal at this eclectic brunch spot serving up unique and classic dishes along with some hair of the dog as early as NY state will allow it. This reclaimed Historic Albany mansion was designed by the same craftsman that built the Capitol building in 1867.
Druthers Brewing Company
As if Erin hasn't bragged enough about her former place of employment... You have to try their famous cast iron skillet mac and cheese or their pretzels and beer cheese dip. Wash it down with one of the craft beers they brew and bottle on site.
USS SLATER
If you're a history buff like us, check out the USS Slater, the last remaining World War 11 destroyer designed as anti-submarine and anti-aircraft vessels. This reclaimed piece of history is home on the Hudson River and open for guided tours by veterans and volunteers.
Washington Park
This beautifully green park is located in Downtown Albany. Take scenic walk or bring a blanket to enjoy a sunny day. One of Albany's most beloved spots!
