The Stockyards is as Honky Tonk as it gets. There is lots of shopping, eating, a rodeo and a cattle drive twice a day! We suggest stopping at The White Elephant Saloon and Billy Bobs Honky Tonk in between eating and shopping.
The Dallas Farmers Market is lovely for boutique shopping and local eats/drinks. It is placed right outside of downtown, so while you are shopping, picking out fruits or veggies or just there to walk with a mimosa, you can see the downtown in the background.
If you are looking to walk off that hangover, or just continue eating and drinking, walk the Katy Trail and/or stop at Katy Trail Ice House for amazing food and goblets of beer. The area is shaded and dog/kid friendly.
