Our Story

It's Friday night December 16th, 2016, and Beth and her friends - Jesse and Mary Miles - decide to go out for a glass of wine. As they were all single at the time, this was a pretty typical Friday night activity. However, this night was a little different. None of them particularly wanted to go. It seemed to be becoming the same ol' crowds each time and you could forget actually meeting someone (much less your future husband) - because as most can attest to, dating is hard. None of them were feeling it. However, since it was a Friday night, they decide they would go out with little expectations, have one or two drinks, and call it a night. They decide to go to their favorite spot in Greensboro at the time, Grey's Tavern (which was usually pretty crowded back then on a weekend), but this night it was pretty low key. They end up getting a high top table off to the side and have the best time just having girl talk and enjoying each other's company. None of them talked to anyone else that night but each other. Around midnight, they decide to get an Uber and head home. As they walk out the door and are making their way to their Uber, Beth hears a voice from behind say 'I like your necklace!" Beth has a love for jewelry and that night, Beth had worn a statement piece, 'Cleopatra-esque' necklace (see picture above from that night). Before she can even turn around, Beth thinks to herself "Ugh!! Another guy with a lame pick up line. Leave me alone! BYE!" As she is turning around to quickly reject any kind of interaction, suddenly these negative thoughts trail off when she sees a very TALL (bonus points), attractive man. An intended 3-letter "BYE" turns into a 3-letter "HEY."
