It was Fall of 2010 and a time for new beginnings. The two of us came to Claflin University not knowing that we'd walk right into one another's arms. I had just moved to South Carolina from Kansas City, Missouri for my first year of college and Corley was beginning his senior year and about to enter the real world. The first time we met was just in passing and then eventually mutual friends brought us together. We had a connection almost immediately. We think our friends called it long before either of us wanted to admit it lol. We became friends and eventually we were inseparable. We had our first date in January of 2011. We went bowling in Columbia and of course Corley won! Through long distance and even longer summers, we always came back to one another. Since finishing college, we have accomplished so many goals together and overcome just as many obstacles; we have experienced tremendous losses and some of our happiest moments as a unit. These wins and losses brought us both closer to God and kept us strong. One thing that we both know for sure is that we are exactly where God intended us to be. We met as complete strangers, we became great friends, and now we know for sure that we are soulmates. On December 25th, 2016 Corley proposed and here we are :) We are so excited to begin this new chapter of our lifetime together! #FOREVERMOORE
