Who knew that we would be brought together by kickball?! We first met in 2014, in Jacksonville, Florida, after Deanna was added to Matt’s WAKA kickball team at the last minute as a "free agent"-- little did she know that status wouldn't last long ; ). We hit it off right away…well, more like Matt spent extra time coaching Deanna because she was terrible at kickball, and often cost the team many, many points. Before that kickball season ended, we made our relationship official. After countless beach trips, Jaguars games, too much pizza (not in Matt’s opinion), vacations, and Mardi Gras parades, our friendship blossomed into love. Together, our journey has taken us from the Northeastern Coast of Florida all the way to the very tip of West Texas. Although we miss the beach deeply, we have developed a new love for hiking and adventuring throughout the Southwest. On June 10, 2020, after almost 6 years of dating and a 6-mile-long hike, Matt proposed to Deanna atop Devils Bridge in Sedona, Arizona. Matt is terrified of heights, so getting down on one knee on sandstone bridge overlooking Red Rock country was a sight to see! Now here we are: Soon to be married, and living in El Paso, Texas with our lovely pooch child, Noodles. We are overjoyed to be on this journey together and are excited to celebrate new milestones in our relationship! Let the adventures continue! We cannot wait to celebrate with you on our wedding day!
