Our paths have crossed too many times before we actually met each other! We attended the same preschool without knowing it until we found matching wagon pictures for a preschool parade. Ironically, we also lived a block over from each other most of our lives and somehow never ran into each other while playing outside while growing up. It took us both landing jobs at the local theater when we were 17 for us to finally meet, though by this point we had mutual friends and countless chances to run into each other. The theater turned out to be an easy place to bond and I think we would both agree that our time there was certainly bittersweet. Our friendship began in the most interesting way, but we will save that story for another time. When we first started out at The Grand Cinema and worked on school nights, we would help each other with homework. Later, we would end up at the same parties and gatherings; and eventually, we became close friends. Fast forward to 2018 after being reunited, and somehow things were different. Close friends turned into late-night conversations and finding any way possible to spend time together between work and graduate school. From there our first date, as promised in earlier years as a joke, was at the Grand Cinema. On April 22, 2018, we became a couple that ended up conquering a long-distance relationship, new careers, and too many moves in the time we've had together so far. After about 2 years of dating and the cat's approval, Matthew proposed on February 1st, 2020, with the next chapter of our story to begin on April 24, 2021.
